Beau is a freelance men’s style, lifestyle, spirits and music writer based in Brooklyn. His style, music, beer and spirits writing has appeared at a number of prominent digital publications, including Esquire.com, NME.com, SPIN.com, AskMen.com, MTV.com, Men’s Journal and Fatherly.com. Beau contributes 5 stories a week for Maxim.com on menswear, watches, spirits, travel and gear, and writes weekly for sites like WERD.com.
Beau also runs his own daily menswear blog, The Style Guide. He has interviewed subjects as diverse as NFL champion Tom Brady, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers, Aaron Dessner of indie rock band The National & award-winning menswear designer Todd Snyder.
He also contributes to NYC-based Atwood Magazine, where he covers indie music. His work has also appeared at SPY.com, The Manual, InsideHook.com, GearMoose and U.K-based The Line of Best Fit.
A lover of craft beer, he frequently covers NYC breweries. In addition, Beau works on consulting and copywriting for companies like Bespoke Post. A passionate music fan, Beau has attended more than 350 concerts in NYC and beyond across the past nine years.
Prior to joining the freelance world, Beau worked as a Senior Social Media Manager and Senior Account Executive at NYC's Coyne PR, partnering with some of the world’s top consumer lifestyle brands on social media programming, research and influencer campaigns.
He also has more than six years PR experience representing men's, women's and children's apparel and accessories brands, including past Coyne PR clients like Timberland Boots.
Beau started his NYC communications career in the PR department at E-commerce retailer Bonobos and spent time at Michigan Fortune 500 company Consumers Energy. Beau is an alumnus of Michigan State University and graduated with Honors in Journalism.
